Excellent article Jay. Social networking gives people a sense of community and connection. In today's ever busy society where daily socializing outside of someone's job or business may not be feasible, a few minutes on-line and people are connected.

I also believe Social Networking provides an incredible medium for collaboration. I recently launched Marketezee.com to give people the opportunity to learn while connecting with other like minded people in home business.

While I had a great expectation for our initial launch, the response far exceeded our expectations. Why? Because people love to network and, even more so, they love to learn!

I've shared your article on Marketezee. Thanks again.

Thank you, Jay for giving me a well deserved paradigm shift with how I view these forums. They really are a great way for me...not the others...to assess who I am and what I do. Great stuff, man. Thanks again.

Jay -

Case in point...the Pope just joined Facebook and has acknowledged publicly that "the internet" is a great means of connecting the world and sharing views.

And Twitter is now creating a TV show.

But yes, as you mentioned here there should be a clear objective / reason for using Social Media.

Hey Jay...

Great post...thanks for sharing your insights. I have recently become a somewhat facebook junkie, and love all your points...but you also know and have mentioned the huge potential to reach a lot of people with a message that needs to be heard...like enjoying life and becoming fully alive...as is your constant focus...so done right you could really use these mediums to leverage your message to kabillions of people...some people don't actually pretend to have fabulous lives...and when it can be shown how everyone can...then you have an important message where twittering my space in my facebook becomes a tremendous leveraging tool. Thanks for continuing to be an example of living your passions!
