What If You Had a 100% Success Rate?

What if I told you there’s a method of operation that guarantees a 100% success rate each time you apply yourself to a project?

This message is about a simple mode of “behaving” that guarantees a 100% success rate. It’s about one of the ways we take action to achieve desired results. Really, it’s a success lesson I learned from my Uncle Julius.

My Uncle Julius was the oldest of my father’s 14 brothers and sisters working our family farm in Canada. He was a metal smith. And he was very good at what he did. Imagine a leathery-skinned farmer in the workshop wearing no safety glasses other than his own pair of bi-focals. No other filtering mask than his own beard. A true ‘salt of the earth’ figure.

As Uncle Julius was the welder on the farm, I remember hearing his disc saw sawing through metal. I can still hear his plasma torch cutting through steel. His torch blazing through a rusty beam that would be sent to the scrap yard. I remember looking over his shoulder in amazement at the distinctly bright blue blaze of a welding rod, thinking how cool it would be to melt two pieces of metal together.

What struck me most about Uncle Julius, the real lesson here, was the immense amount of pride he took in his work. If he cut a piece of metal, he would hold it up to the sun and scrutinize it. To make sure the cut was straight. If he welded metal, he would chip the slag away, put his glasses on, and lean in silently, inspecting his own work, and making sure the weld was strong and secure.

When he eventually took me through my metal education, showing me how to use a TIG welder, MIG welder, and plasma torch, he used the same approach. Every time he showed me through a step, he’d take a step back and inspect the weld and the seam. Like he was gazing at a captivating piece of art. His art.

And he kept saying over and over, “Jay, if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.”

It’s this message that has come to be my most profound “method of operation.” Uncle Julius taught me to “behold” my work, to fall in love with my labor, and to throw my whole being into the job the first time around.

So how can I guarantee your 100% success rate with this lesson? It’s not actually by “doing it right.” Perfectionism can be debilitating and a hindrance to your progress. Instead, this is how you refine your approach:

Ask yourself, “Did I do my very best?”

The passion for your work and the love for your craft will help you achieve that edge necessary to assemble one win after the next.

Here’s what I mean…

When you let go of being perfect (or waiting for perfect conditions) in exchange for doing your absolute best, regardless how “good at it” you think you are, there’s a compounding effect. First, you achieve consecutive “wins,” because you decide what brings you the most pleasure, not someone else. Secondly, you create a standard that nothing can trump. No outside input will get in your way when measured against your personally excellent standard. Finally, mistakes don’t even enter the picture here. You may make a mistake, but when you start a project fully conscious that you’re out to do your best–nothing more, nothing less–you’ll only have to make that mistake once. And you’ll be okay with whatever the outcome.

And now you have a sneak peek into my brain and behavior… I believe that when you start out saying to yourself, “I do my best; I give it my all; I am in love with my craft,” every good thing comes your way. You allow yourself to tap into 100% of your own potential. You guarantee your own 100% success rate. You are the judge and the only person you cannot fool.

Take this moment to make the decision to do your best in everything you do. You will sleep better than you can imagine.

The Smartest Man In The World

When I was a kid, around the age of 6-7 years old, I remember helping my dad fix the eves on our farm house. I remember the day like it was yesterday. Standing there on the ground, holding the ladder, looking up at my dad smiling down at me as he cracked jokes and taught me wit. He challenged me to see who could say the alphabet the fastest.

Knowing he was the master of one-liners and nifty sayings, I should have expected this right off the bat. But as I was spouting off the letters of the alphabet one after the next, he said six words that made no sense but sounded really cool: “ab-cdef-ghij-klimnop-qrstuv-wxyz.”

By the time I was done with my 26 letters, he had repeated the six words containing all 26 letters at least 4-5 times. Wow, was I ever impressed. More impressed than the embarrassing situation earlier in the day when my dad told the lady at the hardware store that he has “1 and a half dozen kids.” She looked at me like I was a freak with six heads and then looked away.

My dad laughed and we walked out. I was so embarrassed I wanted to cry. I asked him why he had lied, and he said “ I didn’t lie, 1 and half dozen (6) equals 7.” I realized then and there that he couldn’t have cared less that the lady thought he was crazy.

To this day, the wit and sense of humor is sharp as a tack. Check out what he sent me this morning.

This year, July has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays. This happens once every 823 years.

This year we’re going to experience four unusual dates.

1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 and that’s not all…

Take the last two digits of the year in which you were born.  Now add the age you will be this year.  The results will be 111 for everyone in whole world.

Thanks Dad, I always knew you were the smartest man in the world!

Thanks to you whenever I am in the thick of it, I always seem to be able to remember a joke or some play of words to lighten the mood.

Love you pops.

P.S. And no, by the look of it you were not the first to have your picture taken with the Wall St. Bull’s prairie oysters.

Another Entrepreneur “Wakes Up”

Nothing makes me happier than getting emails like this. In fact this is WHY I do what I do. Waking people up to their inner entrepreneur.

The purpose of our new marketing system – PRO Elite – is to get the entire PRO community on board to elevate each others’ existence. The story I’m about to share will reveal the best way to get started: get out of your own way, stand on the shoulders of giants, and use the system the way it’s designed.

See how Greg is gearing up for a massively booming business…

Not sure about you, but this gave me goose bumps.

What’s up partners and all PRO community!

Just a testimonial for the new PRO system and specifically our marketing partner and friend Jordan.

(this is good timing as we gear up to the next Peak App test)

As my partners know I stubbornly worked through my list of Peak Apps #2 all by myself.

(15 years of top-level real estate prospecting/ sales and I thought I knew what I was doing!)

So, out of 15 apps I was able to contact 9 and had some great conversations. That said I was not able to close any of them.

I know my ego took a public kick in the ass.

(Dont worry boys-I have made it a personal goal to master that BlackBox call ASAP)

Anyway, I finally gave in to Jordan’s invitation and decided that on the last app of my group I would give in and try the new system.

I took my partner’s advice to set up Jordan as my marketing partner and just get out of my own way. So, I did just that. When my app picked up the phone I simply welcomed her into the community, encouraged her to look around the business overview page, write questions and get ready for a powerful business call from the #1 producer in the entire community of PRO 7-figure earner Jordan Crowder.

She said “okay, fine” and I scheduled the call with Judy for the next day.

To tell you the truth I completely expected her not to show up as my apps had done so many times with me.

Not the case.

Our app showed up on time and excited to speak to a millionaire! (Not me – Jordan)

Then I sat back and listened as Jordan went to work.

(Mind you this app was a bright but very young 22 yr old, unemployed and no business experience.)

To my amazement by the end of the call Jordan had the client excited, focused and planning her future as a successful Pro entrepreneur.

She just ordered her BIB straight away. Then one hour later she submitted her income worksheet assignment and scheduled for the next call with Jordan on Wed.

I am man enough to admit that as a new Pro member I could never had navigated this conversation with such ease and power.

I now realize that ultimately the client got what she needed, I got a new member and Jordan got to show why he is the top dog of Pro.

Bottom line: I believe this is an absolute “living snap shot” of what Pro is trying to do with their brave new company updates.

Pro secures and sells us the leads/apps, the marketing partners close them and we plug them into top notch training to grow their business to the next level.

In short we simply fund the proposals, learn, grow and start planning for our own careers as marketing partners some day.

Even I can do that!

It is the company helping the marketing partners help us committed newbies help fresh new clients so everyone moves on up the ladder.

Genius, effective, lucrative and completely client-focused.

Thank you Pro for the system. Thank you Loyal 9 for the leads/apps/training.

Thank you Jordan for the ‘training in the trenches” and thank you to my partners the Sons of Liberty and Ruben Ruiz for fighting along with me to freedom.

Lets line up the next row!

Boom.

Thanks again,

Never again…Never

As I sat on my front porch this morning, reading the paper and enjoying my first cup of coffee for the day, I could not help but feel a certain sense of gratitude for the freedom I take for granted every day.

I have had the privilege of living in this great country for the last 9 years, and even though I am fiercely proud to be Canadian, feelings of patriotism and adoration for my new homeland were overwhelming this morning.

After spending the weekend doing the normal “get ready for summer” stuff around the house and enjoying the last three days of family barbecues and abundance – it really hit home.

Without the price of freedom that was paid, and continues to be paid, none of this would be possible.

From the first explorers who decided that the status quo was a far worse choice than the peril of setting out to sea without a GPS – let alone the knowledge that the earth was round – to our forefathers who built this country from scratch with their hands. And to the price paid on the battlefield, in blood, so that our freedom could not only be possible, but ensured.

As Miki came outside this morning, grabbing her little flag out of the flower pot, waving it fiercely, I could not help but feel a rush of gratitude for the freedom my family has to live the life of our dreams. And, not only to live the life of our dreams, but also for the distinct privilege of helping to wake others up to the possibility of living theirs as well.

Thank you God for the gift of freedom. For freedom from oppression, hardship, and persecution. Thank you for the opportunity to live a life fulfilled. Let us never again forget that this freedom is a privilege, not a right. It’s a privilege paid for dearly by countless individuals far braver than myself. This is a gift that I promise will never again take for granted.

The Good Life

It’s a warm and sunny Monday morning in May….

You awaken from a deep sleep, it’s about 6am, and you have a smile on your face. You slept great… better than you have in a long time… and after a few minutes of laying there listening to the birds chirping and watching tiny specks of dust float through the tiny light beams peeking through the shutters, it hits you…

The adrenaline.

Friday was the last day at your job of 15 years and today is the first day of the rest of your life. You have been earning an additional $5000 a month for the last three months or so, from home, part-time, after hours…

You convinced your spouse that you have what it takes to make the plunge and quit. You gave your notice and now you are done.

Instead of forcing yourself out of bed and dragging yourself to the shower, like you did for years and years… you spring out of bed and leap down the stairs.

You log into your virtual business to see what’s going on….

By 6:15 you are sipping on a cup of Joe and checking your emails. You have a few appointments that your assistant has scheduled for you and you notice that you have $800 in commissions that came in over night, while you slept. Then it hits you…

You smile to yourself.

You silently clench your fists, close your eyes, and let out a sigh… you say thank you. Thank you thank you thank you.

You get up, walk to the bathroom. You wash your face, and as the water is dripping off of your face, you look up in the mirror, and staring back at you is the person you always knew you could be.

You pound your fist on the counter top and say in a quiet yet victorious voice: “You did it….You did it! I knew you could. I knew it. I knew it!”

You catch a smile in the mirror out of the corner of your eye as you turn out the lights and head to the kitchen to refill your coffee.

Suddenly you hear a door open and your two sleep-eyed kids come wandering into the kitchen… “What’s for breakfast?” asks your son…

What do you WANT for breakfast, buddy..?

Frosted Flakes!

Alright, Frosted Flakes it is!

Out comes the milk, the bowls, and the Frosted Flakes. Before long the sugar has kicked in, and the kids are off playing… you clean up breakfast and take a cup of coffee upstairs to your other half who is just getting up.

You have to get to work… “yeah right!” is the reply… I know what you do all day. You just sit behind your computer and poke around online–that’s not work!

You laugh and agree… you say, you’re right it’s not work… it’s too much fun to be work… but I got kids to feed and we all know we can’t live on cheerios… gotta go bring home the bacon!

You are shaking like a two year old filly in the starting gate… you take a 3-minute shower that barely gets you wet and you throw on some jeans, sneakers, and a tee shirt.

You are on top of the world. You are invincible. You are free. You are flying. And you are flying high. You are high on life for the first time in years. The trek into work, the BS, the politics, the endless meetings, the chit chat, the small minded people complaining about their lives. All of that is behind you and you have joined the ranks of the few. The proud. Those who write their own ticket.

The 3% who dream… You have escaped the indentured servitude of the 97%ers and have crossed over to the other side. There is no feeling like it, and there is no going back. You are all chips in. Fully committed. Free at last.

The scene I just described is not only my typical Monday morning… and the life I get to enjoy, but also that of countless members of the PRO U family.

It could be the life waiting for you, too.

There is only one way to find out.

And that is to have the courage to take the next step.

It’s your call… you can spend the next three years trying to figure it out… continue to struggle, and potentially fail, or you could plug into PRO and WAKE UP the inner entrepreneur that you KNOW is inside of you.

Let’s go folks. Its time to WAKE UP and live the good life.
